The World Scholar's Cup will be held at “Kaspi” Lyceum on January 28^th & 29^th. 

"World Scholar's Cup" intellectual competition has been held in more than 70 countries for more than 10 years. Regularly every year, selection stages are organized in different countries to make the regional tournament. The final round of the Global Round is being held in six major centers with thousands of students from different countries. The final round is held at Yale University in the United States among the six round winners. The World Scholars Competition helps students to develop their outlook, knowledge and abilities in practice. Schoolchildren compete in junior and senior teams, each consisting of 3 members. The contest has 4 team events:

1. Scholar’s bowl: is a strategical and verbal team event. It is held in a spacious venue, with questions being more difficult than the previous ones. 

2. Collaborative writing. – is a team event to write an essay on the given topic. Written essays are then evaluated.

3. Scholar's challenge. – is a team event to test the contestant’s knowledge with the help of multiple choice question tests. 

4. Team debate – is a team event to allow contestants to debate on the given topic and present their arguments. 

“Kaspi” Lyceum Bakikhanov has been hosting the Baku World Round of Science for the second consecutive year. Last year's high-quality tournament raised expectations for this year's contest.
